Dr. Lori Long is a residency trained and board certified optometric physician who provides a wide range of eye care services at Advanced Eye Care, including vision testing, eyewear prescriptions, contact lenses and the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders including glaucoma and macular degeneration.  She also provided pre-operative testing and post-operative care for cataract and LASIK surgery patients.  She is bilingual, being fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Long graduated at the top of her high school class in the suburbs of Philadelphia.  SHe attended Millersville State College (now Millersville University), earning a Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Education.  She was on the Dean's List every semester.  She continued her education at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, graduating with honors with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.  She completed a hospital-based residency in ocular disease at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, an honor that is offered to fewer than 12% of all optometrists.

Since completing her residency in 1994, Dr. Long has worked in state-of-the-art multi-specialty ophthalmology settings.  She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, as well as the Florida Optometric Association.

Dr. Long enjoys running, yoga, reading, cooking and dogs.  Most of all, she cherishes her time with her family, her husband, Steve and daughter, Risdon.

Dr. Long has been a member of the Advanced Eye Care team since 2009. She is a family eye care practitioner with an emphasis on fitting contact lenses of all types.  She is always up to date on the newest and best contact lens options. Dr. Long welcomes new patients.
